Evadan is live: planning a trip finally becomes simple

On Monday 21st September, Evadan launched. Now, on the web and on iPhone, you can build a complete, day-by-day itinerary in under two minutes, drawing on addresses that have been personally verified or experienced. Behind this launch is a stubborn belief: planning a trip shouldn't be long or tedious, especially with all the travel experience already out there. But current LLMs often miss the human element when generating a good itinerary.

Nothing was left to chance

Before it was an app, Evadan was a way of travelling. Alexandre, the founder, has explored over forty countries and lived in Paris, London, and New York. For every trip, he'd prepare everything in advance: hours spent building the itinerary day by day, then a map on Google My Maps where every point had its place and every address its moment. Everything was booked before he left. Nothing was left to chance.

These maps eventually started to circulate. Initially shared with a few friends, they were passed on from person to person until they reached thousands, without him ever truly understanding how.

They also showed their limitations: a map doesn't tell you how much time to allow, what time a museum closes, or how to link three neighbourhoods without crossing the city twice.

Fifteen tabs and hours of research

This level of preparation came at a cost. Hours of research on blogs and comparison sites, fifteen tabs open, conflicting reviews. A restaurant recommended everywhere, but closed for two years. Bookings scattered across an email inbox, the budget in a spreadsheet, the itinerary on a separate map. You'd feel tired before you'd even packed your suitcase.

Evadan was born from this: the quality tool we wished we'd had sooner.

Months of unseen work

Before Evadan, Alexandre designed websites for charities and businesses, alongside a background in finance. This work teaches one thing: the simpler a tool appears, the more work went into it behind the scenes. To found Evadan, he surrounded himself with three people, covering research, content, marketing, and app development.

Long months of development, content creation, and database building preceded any announcement.

This database is the heart of the project: each entry is selected and checked individually. Where others scrape everything online, Evadan curates.

Your whole trip, all in one place

The initial idea had two key requirements. Firstly, a trip generator built on real addresses, not what an AI imagines. Secondly, an intuitive and comprehensive platform where everything a trip might need can be found.

You tell us where you're going, when, with whom, and at what pace, and Evadan creates your day-by-day itinerary. Everything flows from there.

A recommended accommodation can be booked in three clicks or less. The bus between two Mexican cities is suggested with the right company. The best season to travel is indicated in advance, and an eSIM can be bought at a very low price before you fly.

Evadan even covers details you'd usually discover on the spot: what an ATM withdrawal costs, or a ready-made Plan B if the rain probability exceeds 70%, with at least 0.2 mm forecast, at the exact time of a visit. Your budget and documents live in the same place, on your computer and phone.

Mindtrip focuses on conversation with an AI, Layla also, Wanderlog on maps and organisation, Stippl on travel journals and sharing. Each covers a part of the trip. No complete solution currently brings all of this together in one intuitive place.

• A coherent itinerary. Each day follows a logical order around your hotel, respects opening hours, and remains light on both arrival and departure days.

• Evadan AI. A travel expert AI backed by a proprietary database. It starts with your profile, queries the database, and selects only the best. It can also manage your entire itinerary, bookings, or suggest other great addresses from the database.

• No more rummaging through emails. A forwarded booking confirmation automatically files itself with the correct trip.

Humans before algorithms

AI saves hours, but not on choosing locations. Every itinerary is based on hand-picked addresses and the expertise of travel planners. Evadan AI assembles, calculates distances, and takes the weather into account.
